Hi, I am Michelle Pace
I am a multi-media artist. That means I do more than one kind of art.
I specialize in photography, print and doll-making. My dolls are three-dimensional
sculptures. My art centers around the belief that the human mind is made
up of "catacombs" where imagination lies buried. I strive to
pull out the mysterious and secret images that are hidden from everyday
life and expose them in my art.
I am very interested in history, archeology and anthropology. My study of art history in Athens, Greece had a major impact on my work. My figures are often stylized and primitive, much like ancient Greek and Egyptian forms. I enhances these forms with my own visions of fantasy and fairy tales.
