Hello, I am Robin Toulouse.
I make assemblages. I choose interesting things and put them together
to create a sculpture. I have always felt that my art speaks for itself.
It's hard to say where my art "comes from." I just feel the need to express
deep emotions and memories in an aesthetic way, using images and objects
that represent people in my life whom I have known and loved. 
I take some of my inspiration from my job as artifact collections manager at The Children's Museum. I also have been inspired by artists such as Bettye Saar and Joseph Cornell who are both assemblage artists. My faith as a United Methodist is also an important inspiration.
