About the Biotechnology Learning Center
This classroom space is dedicated to teaching upper elementary and middle school youths and their families about the history of biotechnology, the science behind it, and how our foods and plants will be affected by this growing science. Located on Level 4, the Biotechnology Learning Center in the DOW ScienceWorks Gallery includes 1,500 square feet of lab space. The Biotechnology Lab is suited for school and family activities and demonstrations. The goal of this facility is to help the general public become aware of the relevance of biotechnology in our world today. Opportunities for workshops, classes, distance links, and institutes will be available for teachers and students to help them gain knowledge and understanding of this difficult and changing field and its role in their lives.
