Easy-Bake® Oven

Easy Bake Oven

I loved my Easy Bake Oven as a child. Didn't get to use it as often as I would like, but when I did, it was so much fun. Now, my daughter and I bake things together in our Easy Bake Ovens as I still have mine. It was fun to get them out together for the first time and see how much they have changed. Mine came with a recipe book that has actual recipes, not where you start with a pre-made mix.

Easy Bake Oven

I did not personally have one, but my friend did. At her house, we'd cook biscuits under the bulb and basically eat raw biscuits, but what fun. A lot of the items you could cook were an apple base. To this day, I do not like apple base desserts. I guess they were so bad, that it turned me against it. But, I loved the experience of "cooking" it.

Easy Bake Oven

We love this toy during summer vacations. We use half a bun and make little pizza burgers with our favorite toppings. We had to get an extra oven so both girls could bake all the pizza burgers for our family of 6 to have lunch!

Easy Bake Oven

The story as told to me by my family: My oldest sister had gotten an Easy Bake Oven for her birthday. I was around 4 or 5 at the time. I wanted to do everything my sister did! I was known to frequently walk in my sleep and one morning, around 4, my parents came down to find me behind our kitchen table. Sitting in front of me was the Easy Bake Oven. I had baked peanut butter brownies in my sleep! They said they were the best brownies they'd ever had! That story is still told today, 44 years later!!

Easy Bake Oven

Although the dessert was tiny, and rarely tasted very good, we sure did feel like the next Betty Crocker with this mini oven!

Easy Bake Oven

I can still remember the taste of the chocolate cakes I made in my easy bake oven! Not the best tasting but since I made it everyone made a big deal about how great it was! Great memories!

Easy-Bake Oven

My momma and daddy (who are both gone) got me one for christmas. And one day my brother decided to use a biscuit from a can to put in there to bake. Well the buscuit burned and my oven wouldn't work no more cause we couldn't get that dumb biscuit out! Oh I cried for days over that! Then 20 something years later my momma asked what did I want for Christmas and I said an easy bake oven cause I'm emotionally scarred from what my brother done to my other one. Well I wan't really expecting to get one I was joking anyways. So on that christmas morning she came over and much to my surprise she got an easy bake oven! I was like a little girl again! She even bought extra mixes for it! Then two days later yes folks it happened again my brother said well let's see if they made these ovens any better. Well let's just say I don't want to ever see a can of biscuits again! I cry when I go thinking about my easy bake ovens!

Easy-Bake Oven

I think I was about 6 when my next-door neighbor and I decided to bake a birthday cake for my grandfather(Poppy) using the Easy-Bake Oven. We were so excited, and had grand plans of how we would decorate it. But our plans weren't quite in synch with reality as the cake came out lopsided and our frosting didn't look nearly as perfect as the photo on the box. Nonetheless, Poppy was delighted by our surprise and we, of course, were so proud to have baked our first cake.

Easy Bake Oven

I had an easy bake oven when I was 9 or 10. My brother took my doll carriage and turned it into a bakery delivery truck so I could deliver the cakes I made. I would experiment with flavors and made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting sprinkled with crushed candy canes. I am not afraid to experiment in the kitchen and I think my innovative cooking style started with my Easy Bake Oven.

Easy-Bake Oven

The Easy-Bake Oven has got to be one of the best things invented for little girls. It was child friendly, just the right size and if you had enough sisters (like I did) you could
Potentially spend all afternoon creating new recipes to put in your Easy Bake Oven. We were in full control of our desserts (so we thought), and the recipes did not always
Come from the Easy Bake Oven recipes and mixes. Hours of fun and I don’t think our mother ever found out everything that we created. We had to share a lot of toys and
This is one of them that was ok to share.

After years of memories, I found myself purchasing it for my daughter and my nieces because there was no doubt that it would bring them the same enjoyment that
We experienced with it. If we weren’t playing, hopscotch, jump rope or Jacks; You could find us creating some new stuff for the Easy Bake. (Now keep in mind that I did not
Say that we ate everything we fixed in it).
