Coming in 2014
One Year, Two Blockbuster Exhibits
Opening May of 2014
In 2014, the entire museum transforms into an immersive and authentic Chinese experience. Two blockbuster exhibits—Terra Cotta Warriors: The Emperor’s Painted Army and Take Me There:® China— are expected to give families the chance to travel more than 7,000 miles around the globe without leaving Indiana.
- The museum plans to have more than 100 artifacts, including real Terra Cotta Warriors, some never before seen by the public.
- Discover objects unearthed at the Terra Cotta Warrior excavation site and become part of the archaeology research team, through hands-on interactive activities.
- Board a modern Chinese airline and fly over the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and other iconic Chinese sites.
- Explore the art, food, music, environment, and homes of modern Chinese families.
Some activities and artifacts may change or adapt as the exhibit develops over the next year.
