E-Scrapbooking Inspired by Norman Rockwell Paintings

Project Overview

In this project, your students will learn about Norman Rockwell the man and the artist, and about the times in which he lived (1940s). They will become "art detectives" and will use visual interpretation skills to explore the images. After completing one of the suggested activities, your students will be able to upload their work to the classroom electronic scrapbook. The scrapbook may be shared with classmates and family, and will remain on the museum website after the conclusion of the project. Don't forget to share the Home Connections activities with your students, to encourage family learning! If you have a class website, consider posting the links to the Home Connections and View Scrapbooks there for ease of use.

Please note: This exhibit will only be at the museum
from June 18, 2005 - January 16, 2006.
