The Children’s Museum recognizes the value and importance of interns as well as their financial obligations. Internships are unpaid, but scholarship programs have been established to help qualified students with living expenses and/or academic expenses. Click on the titles of the following scholarship opportunities to find out about their requirements and application procedures. |
The following scholarships are awarded during the spring, summer and fall semesters:
The Children’s Museum Internship Scholarship
- Applicants must submit a transcript along with their application in order to be considered for this program by the posted deadlines.
- Applicants are informed prior to their internship as to whether or not they will be a candidate to receive scholarship funds.
Millie Compton Scholarship
- Awarded to a student majoring in science and/or education.
- Application materials are submitted during the internship.
The following scholarship is awarded during the summer semester only:
Yvonne H. Shaheen Scholarship
- Awarded to a female student interning in one of the following areas: Finance (including Special Events), Human Resources, Information Systems, Visitor Relations, Marketing or Education.
- Application materials are submitted during the internship.
