What do I do if I find something that may be valuable?
If you find something cool and interesting, you generally can't help telling others about it. So consider talking to a local geologist too. The geologist will be able to help you identify your object and tell you if you've discovered something rare and wonderous that could unlock secrets of the earth's geologic past.
