“Play is not a frivolous activity, but rather the most adaptive
practice a child can engage in.” David Elkind, Ph.D.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis invites you to join the Early Discoveries Club, a special club for parents and their children from birth to 24 months.
Play is an important part of a child’s developmental growth; its value for babies and toddlers includes language development, literacy development and sensory exploration of the world around them.
The Children’s Museum provides a rich environment in which parents andtheir very young children can learn and play together. Through the Early Discoveries Club, families can make use of the museum’s many resources as an important step in building a foundation for later learning experiences.
