Quality of Life Plan
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is partnering with several community stakeholders to implement a comprehensive neighborhood quality of life plan.
Quality of Life Planning
The Mid-North Quality of Life Plan is a comprehensive initiative that focuses on eight key action areas that the community determined through a year long planning process were most impactful for engendering positive neighborhood well-being. These priority areas are:
- Aesthetics
- Business Development
- Crime & Safety
- Education
- Housing
- Senior Advocacy
- Youth Engagement
- Destination Fall Creek
While each of the objectives in the plan were developed by neighborhood stakeholders, at least one stakeholder has agreed to carry out each item. The plan covers the Mid-North area of Indianapolis which is composed of six neighborhoods. The borders of the area are 38th Street on the north, 21st Street on the south, I-65 on the west and Meridian Street/Fall Creek Parkway on the east.

Get Involved
What makes this process different from other initiatives is the extensive input from neighbors and other stakeholders in the area. Each priority area has an "Action Team" that meets to keep enthusiasm behind pursuit of the plan objectives, while also tracking progress and celebrating accomplishments.
