Award Criteria

Each of the following four criteria will be judged separately and must be answered in four independent paragraphs of 150 words or less.
The following criteria will be used:
Need - 150 words or less
- What need did the nominee address?
- How did the nominee address the need?
- What motivated the nominee to create this project or activity?
- Why did the nominee believe the project or activity was important?
Achievement - 150 words or less
- What extraordinary solution did the nominee implement to meet the need?
- What significant event occurred that the nominee was responsible for?
- How much time was committed to the project or activity?
- What unique challenges were overcome?
- Did the nominee raise funds and, if so, in what amount?
Impact - 150 words or less
- What difference was made because of the nominee's project?
- How many people benefited or were affected?
- What was the length of time of the project or activity?
Further Empowerment - 150 words or less
- What plans does the nominee have to sustain the project if provided with additional resources?
- How would these resources be used to gain additional support to sustain his or her efforts?
