Beyond Spaceship Earth

This immersive exhibit tells the dynamic story of space exploration from NASA’s Project Mercury program, which sent the first Americans into space, to the International Space Station (ISS). In Beyond Spaceship Earth, families can see astronaut artifacts, learn space-travel history and immerse themselves in the life of an astronaut. Each segment of the exhibit has something extraordinary to offer!

Schaefer Planetarium and Space Object Theater

Apollo Mission Control Panel.Nearly 400,000 people worked on the Apollo mission to put a personon the moon. This historic accomplishment required a massive amount of teamwork.

That feat is spotlighted in the Schaefer Planetarium and Space Object Theater in CAPCOM Go! The Apollo Story, a film that shows the incredible effort necessary to take "one giant leap for mankind."

Accompanying the show is a piece of space history—a real Apollo-era console from Mission Control.

Located on the Lower Level.
