BONES AND CAREERS:

What are some Careers that deal with bones?

Radiological Technologist: Responsible for the quality of a x-ray image. They use various equipment like film, computer monitors, and/or television to view specific body structures or systems.

Radiologist: This is a doctor who specializes in interpreting x-rays.

Orthopedists: A physician that specializes in diseases of muscles and surgical treatment of the foot

Orthopedic Surgeon: A physician that specializes in orthopedic surgery

Podiatrist: A specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of the foot

Rheumatologist: Specializes in treatment of rheumatism

Orthotist/Prosthetist: Works with the application of orthopedic appliances and/or artificial limbs

Physical Therapist: Individuals who use physical means (cold, heat, sound, light, electricity, water, or ultrasound) to treat injuries or illness in order to improve mobility

Physical Therapist Assistant

Physical Therapist Aide

Dentist: doctor of dental surgery

Dental Hygienist: Provides preventive care

Dental Laboratory Technician: Makes dental appliances and dentures

Nurses at various educational levels in all areas
