Before
Getting Started:
Have you ever been flipping through the channels and seen
some chef demonstrating how to bake a cake or cook "out
of this world" chicken? Ever thought, Hey, I could do
that? Well, this is your big break! Show them what you got
with your own production of "The Breakfast Club".
Did
you know that breakfast is one of the most important meals
of the day? As such, it is vitally important for us to eat
foods that help increase our bone mass and strength. We want
to keep them Bones Healthy, don't we?
So
your mission
. If you chose to accept it may be dangerous.
After all, you will be battling your arch enemy - BONE DISEASE
AND LOSS! Simply, prepare a breakfast menu that would be great
for our growing bones, and then show your viewers how to make
it themselves on your own show: "The Breakfast Club"
Materials:
Nutrition Information (see the following links)
Video camera (optional, you can film your show or just put
in on for your friends and/or family one Saturday morning)
Food, and kitchen appliances to make your breakfast
Get your parent's permission before you actually cook.
Step
1:

Step
2:
Set the production schedule and staff. Determine days and
times for rehearsing and filming the actual production. Also,
decide key staff members. Will you have a camera person, an
assistant, and/or audience members during your production?
I hear friends and family are great at filling some of these
positions.
Step
3:
Rehearse. No television chef produces his/her show without
rehearsing it first. After all, you are a professional here,
and last time I checked, your show was climbing to the top!
Rehearsing helps you figure out what to say with what action.
Remember, the camera loves smiles so show us your pearly whites!
Step
4:
Lights, Camera, Action! It is production time. Go ahead and
make your breakfast show.
Step
5:
View the show and/or receive feedback from viewers. After
all, television is all about the ratings, baby!
