Marilyn Cohen'
Life's A Circus Exhibit
Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages! Step right up and learn about the dazzling and amazing stories behind the circus. Learn about performers past and present through the eyes of artist Marilyn Cohen. Marilyn's deeply colored torn-paper collages show the whimsy and heart behind many of this century's circus greats. Discover the importance of family and tradition and explore your inner artist as you make your way through this beautiful exhibit. Let the circus inspire you as you try your hand at creating your own collages.

Accompanying these large collage-paintings are numerous artifacts from the museum's own collection. Objects ranging from antique miniature circus tents and animals to hand-crafted, wooden circus figures from Mexico, called Oaxacan pieces, can be seen.

Also featured in this gallery are artifacts from the world-renowned International Circus Hall of Fame, located in Peru, Indiana. This local treasure serves as an epicenter of circus history and tradition. Unique circus wagons, elephant tubs and clown trunks are just some of the pieces that will be on display from Peru. Gallery staff and volunteers will help guide you through this unique, history-rich experience.
