THE MOUNTAIN WIZARDS AND THE WOODSMAN
The mountain wizards
Once upon a time, there was a woodsman who went to the forest to work everyday.

One day, he found two old men sitting under the tree and playing Korean chess. They were dressed in long white robes, had long, stringy white hair and long white beards that fell from their chins like waterfalls.

Because the woodsman loved Korean chess, he decided to sit and watch the game instead of working. At that time, he had no idea who these men were. Do you want to know who they were?

They were mountain wizards! And what seems to be one hour to a regular woodsman in the forest with the wizards is actually one hundred human years. So, the woodsman went home after watching Korean chess.

When he got to his village everything looked drastically different. Even his home was odd. There were trees growing that weren't there when he set out to work that morning. He knocked on the door, expecting his wife to be there.

Instead, there was a bearded man who resembled himself. He was the woodsman's great grandson.

At this time, the woodsman noticed how much time had gone by in the forest. He regretted wasting all that time watching the game. If only he had gone to work! But it was too late.

This story teaches us not to waste time in playing when you could study and work.
