Camarasaurus was the most commonly found of all sauropods, as well as one of the smallest. The Camarasaurus grew to be fifty-nine feet long and fifteen feet high at the hips. The neck and tail were shorter than most sauropods; however the tail was much stronger than the tails of other sauropods. The Camarasaurus had a very good digestive system; it would swallow gizzard stones to help grind up the tough vegetation that it would eat. They had strong teeth that were replaced as they became worn. This plant-eater was found in the Western United States and lived during the end of the Jurassic time period. The Apatosaurus is another sauropod.
