The Lambeosaurus is a Hadrosaur with a head ornament. It's name means "Lambe's lizard", and was named after the scientist that discovered it, Lawrence Lamb.What were these "head ornaments" used for? Scientists suggest that the ornaments may have given the dinosaurs a better sense of smell. Or the head ornament may have been used as a noisemaker; the sound going through the air passages and been made louder. These trumpeting sounds may have been used to call to each other at mating time, or to warn one another when danger was near. These ornaments could also just be a way for hadrosaurids of the same kind to recognize one another. The lambeosaurus lived in western Canada and some of the western states of the United States.
