Frontier presents Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?

Step onto Sesame Street and take a stroll with your favorite characters. Sesame Street will lead visitors of all ages through three adventurous decades of the revolutionary children’s television series. Children are invited to explore concepts about letters, numbers, words and diversity issues; while adults can explore how the innovative program emerged and developed over the years. Guests can also visit and discover Sesame Street’s bus shelter, Mucho “Rainbow” Bodega, Gina’s Day Care Center, Oscar’s Newsstand, and Bird Air Travel Agency. Lights, Camera, Action!Step onto the Sesame Street set and see yourself in a monitor as you would appear on the television show. Hands-On Minds-On Sesame Street Playground Crawl underneath the Central Park Bridge and play with letters in the A – Z cubbyholes while listening to others practice notes and songs on a set of steel drums. Discover new words by turning a crank and spinning letters. Relax and enjoy a game of chess or checkers in the park before heading off to count animals and objects in the counting tree. Frontier Telephone Booth Need to let Oscar know you’re having a bad day, too? Or maybe you found Ernie’s rubber duckie in your bathtub? Pick up the phone and listen to messages from popular Sesame Street characters. Oscar’s NewsstandPop into this informative newsstand with video clips on fire safety, fitness, sibling rivalry and other important issues. Platinum Platters Music Shop Hiding that inner rock star? Head over to the music shop to listen to and sing along with some of Sesame Street’s greatest hits, including the show’s theme song, plus “The People in Your Neighborhood,” “Rubber Duckie,” and “C is for Cookie.” Bus Shelter Experience Sesame Street history by cozying up in the bus shelter to watch the very first episode of Sesame Street. Big Bird’s Same and Different NestClimb into the full size re-creation of Big Bird’s nest to read a good book. Big Bird is big. His nest is big, too. People come in all sizes. How big are you? Circle in the Square Cinema Take a seat and see five fast-paced compilations of memorable moments from Sesame Street.
