This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

Green Room
Every theatre has a green room. No, it's not actually a room that is green. In fact, in the theatre it's bad luck if the green room is painted green.

A green room is a place where actors can go before and after the play to relax, converse with other actors, or just "chill out."

In the "Onstage" green room visitors will be able to relax and watch a video of the Lilly Theater's production of "Young King Arthur." Our Green Room is also a resource area, where they can pick up brochures from local theatres and see posters relating to what's going on around town in theatre.

Also in our Green Room visitors can explore "StageStruck," a computer CD ROM developed by Australia's National Institute of Drama. This wonderful computer program allows visitors to virtually explore backstage areas via the magic of computer.
