Titanic Science
Titanic Science is a blockbuster family-learning experience that explores the history and science behind the fascinating story of the Titanic. This exhibit is designed for children and families to learn about the Titanic through a series of science-based activities and programs, in addition to the rare and remarkable artifacts. See an accurately constructed model of the Titanic bow, as she now lies on the floor of the North Atlantic Ocean, some 12,500 feet under water. This model was commissioned exclusively for the exhibit using the most current data on the wreck site obtained by marine engineers and forensic investigators. A hands-on activity allows visitors to "skipper" the ship and attempt to miss an iceberg. Authentic artifacts recovered from the wreck site are displayed throughout the exhibit. Personal effects as well as actual pieces of the vessel are dramatically presented as a "moment in time" and a life changed forever. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the story and science of the ship once heralded as "the most magnificent ship in history" through this most remarkable exhibit! To find out more about the exhibit please visit: www.titanicscience.com Titanic Science was created and produced by the Maryland Science Center. Major funding provided by the National Science Foundation, and support from RMS Titanic, Inc. Presented locally by Bank One. ![]() |
