in the Dow Science Center
Science is a process of discovery and experimentation. Anyone can do science. Science is all around us.
ScienceWorks, located on Level 4 of the museum, is a hands-on science gallery that encourages visitors to test scientific principles for themselves.
The gallery features 4 major learning areas:
Nature's Backyard:
An "outdoor" experience featuring a freshwater pond, a butterfly garden and "underground" tunnels.
The Construction Site:
A mock rock quarry with simple machines and building blocks.
The Water Area:
Combining the Fall Creek Watershed and a canal/water area.
Dow Biotechnology Learning Center:

ScienceWorks is appropriate for visitors of all ages. In particular, visitors ages 6-12 or in grades 1-5 will not want to miss ScienceWorks. |

The Biotech Lab features facilitated sessions appropriate for ages 10-16 or grades 4-9. |
