Fireworks of Glass is the largest permanent sculpture of blown glass by renowned artist Dale Chihuly. The 43-foot-tall tower rises above a glass ceiling.
All Aboard! is designed to take visitors back in the past to the "Age of Steam." Visitors can recollect across generations about their experiences with full size and toy trains alike. The centerpiece is a 35-foot long, 55-ton steam engine designed by and named after Reuben Wells in 1868.
What if...? is comprised of three immersive environments: a brightly colored underwater coral reef, a dinosaur discovery area and an Egyptian tomb. Visitors can discover interesting objects and participate in many interactive exhibit elements.
Lilly Theater has a thrust stage with 350 seats, 2 dressing rooms, a Colortran computerized lighting system, state-of-the art sound equipment, and offers 3-4 plays a year for both schools and families, as well as other types of live entertainment including music, dance, magicians, jugglers and animal shows.
SpaceQuest® Planetarium is a 130-seat theater with a DigiStar sky projection system along with over fifty slide projectors, multiple video projectors, and specialized planetarium sky effects! |

Dinosphere: Now You're in THEIR World A world-class collection of real dinosaur fossils is presented in exciting settings which reflect life in the Cretaceous Period, more than 65 million years ago. A dinosaur dig, a functioning paleontology lab, a question lab with in-depth dinosaur information, and an art gallery featuring pieces from the finest collection of dinosaur art in the nation complete the experience.
infoZone is a library inside the museum. It's a cool place for you to have fun learning. You can check out and return library materials or borrow a laptop to play computer games. To borrow a laptop, you have to loan the librarian one of your shoes though! |

The Power of Children: Making a Difference The Power of Children Gallery at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis takes visitors on a journey through the lives of three children who faced profound trials and emerged as heroes of the 20th century. The stories of Anne Frank, Ruby Bridges, and Ryan White exemplify for children and adults how every individual can make a difference.
Playscape is designed for the preschooler and the grown up who cares for them to play in a special environment.
Story Avenue is an interactive, educational, and intergenerational exhibit demonstrating that stories teach about life.

ScienceWorks, in the Dow Science Center, is a hands-on science gallery that encourages visitors to test scientific principles for themselves.
Biotech Learning Center. With the support of Dow AgroSciences, we have developed an exciting Biotechnology Learning Center on Level 4 in the ScienceWorks Gallery. Do you know the science behind a toasted cheese sandwich? Learn all about biotechnology and how it affects you!
Health House - Get up and get moving! It’s time to welcome a new healthy family lifestyle. And Health House, our new exhibit located on Level 4 in ScienceWorks, can show you how! Eat well, play every day and have fun! You can make healthy choices.
SciencePort - SciencePort is a science program centering on special investigations for families and school groups. The SciencePort program consists of online activities that can be accessed at home or school, staff-led investigation activities at the museum, and follow-up activities and resources used at home or back in the classroom.
Carousel Wishes and Dreams is a place where families can come to play together; a place where family members of all ages can interact and enjoy each other's company. The Carousel is the biggest gallery artifact as well as one of the largest in the museum. Don't forget to ride it! |
