Gorgosaurus

Gorgosaurus means terrible lizard.

The gorgosaur had more than 60 sharp teeth. She used these for biting her prey, so she was a carnivore.

The gorgosaur had a good sense of smell.

The gorgosaur is smaller than the T. rex.

It could run up to 20 m.p.h.

Who Discovered the Fossilized Bones?

Cliff and Sandy Linster and their 7 children found this gorgosaur in 1997 in Montana.

The Fossil:

furcula		This is one of the most complete gorgosaur fossil ever found.
		This dinosaur lived a very hard life. It had broken legs and bad teeth while it was alive.
		The furcula is the wishbone.
		This furcula could show that dinosaurs and birds are related.
