Science
6.1.5 Identify places where scientists work including offices, classrooms, laboratories, farms, factories, and natural field settings ranging from space to the ocean floor.

The Paleo Prep lab is full of scientists! Remind the students that a paleontologist is a scientist who studies the remains or traces of prehistoric life (fossils).

6.4.9 Recognize and explain that two types of organisms may interact in a competitive or cooperative relationship, such as producer/consumer, predator/prey, or parasite/host.

At the three different scenes, have the students identify the relationship shown. Ask them to pick out the predators, preys, and scavengers and state why they think that.

Language Arts
6.1.4 Understand unknown words in informational texts by using word, sentence, and paragraph clues to determine meaning.

In the different label copy throughout the museum, there is a possibility or unknown words. Have your students use other clues in the text to determine the meanings.

6.2.7 Make reasonable statements and conclusions about a text, supporting them with accurate examples.

Have the students read the text at a specific scene. When finished have them make a conclusion about what they have just read citing what they just read.

6.7.2 Identify the tone, mood, and emotion conveyed in the oral communication.

Join an Up-Close and Personal presentation and have the students listen closely trying to identify the mood, tone and emotion of the speaker.
