Visual Arts
3.11.1 Identify the roles of artists, docents, guards, and curators at museums and galleries.

After spending some time in the gallery, ask the students why they think museums need artists, docents and guards? You may have to define these to them as well. Ask them if they noticed any of these people in the space.

3.12.2 Visit local museums, exhibits, art performances, and experience visiting artists in the school.

Allow the students to spend some time just enjoying the works of art in the space.

3.13.2 Demonstrates the ability to create a work of art integrating concepts, subject matter, or the sign systems (such as words or numbers) of another discipline.

At the Art Activity Tables give your students the opportunity to use dinosaurs, the fossils found, and information in Dinoshpere to make a work of art. Remind them that studying dinosaurs is a science and we can use science for the basis of art.
