Instructions for Final Activity

You now have a great deal of information about this gorgosaur. You have learned how this dinosaur ate, how she moved, and how she defended herself. You also read about the injuries that this particular gorgosaur had during her life. You made some decisions about how you think these injuries happened, and how they affected her life. Now you are ready to write your story of her life!

Let’s talk for a moment about storybooks. A good story has a beginning, a middle and an end.

In the beginning of the story we learn about the setting and the main characters.

In the middle the reader learns about the problem, or conflict. In this story you’ll want to tell about the injuries of the dinosaur and how and when they occurred.

At the end of the story, the problem is either solved, or we learn how it affected the lives of the characters.

Remember you are writing this story for a younger child, so you’ll want to use easy vocabulary and make your events easy to understand. After you proofread your work with your teacher, you can print out your story and color the pages. Or, you can leave the coloring for your younger reader to do!

Good luck and have fun!
