Introduction
Students may work alone or as a group to reach a decision on who should own the bones of the dinosaur. The story concerns a group of college students who removed dinosaur fossils from government land.

Students will read several opinions concerning academic and commercial interests in dinosaur fossils. The students will read, watch and develop opinions of this controversial subject. They will use an online form to list the pros/cons of each side of the controversy. The students will learn to write a letter to the editor addressing these controversies. The teacher may electronically submit exceptional examples of student work to the museum. Selected submissions will be posted on the website. There is also an online voting option that will tabulate the votes.
