Opportunities for Teachers and Students

Discover how archaeology fits into classroom curriculum. Learn more about Egyptian pharaoh Seti I, the burial site of China's Terra Cotta Warriors, and the Caribbean shipwreck of the Cara Merchant, commandeered by accused pirate Captain Kidd.

  • Register your class for a Treasures of the Earth field trip program.
  • Explore the exhibit while networking with fellow educators at our Educator Networking Night.
  • Join us for workshops that include suggestions for classroom lessons and activities, as well as a unit of study.

In this new permanent exhibit, students and teachers are transported to world-renowned archaeological sites for hands-on adventures! Immerse yourself in recreations of the tomb of Egyptian pharaoh Seti I, the burial site of China's Terra Cotta Warriors, and the Caribbean shipwreck of the Cara Merchant, commandeered by accused pirate Captain Kidd. Piece together clues to human history using archaeological tools, and see what goes on in our real working Archaeology Lab.
