At this adults-only party, you will experience the museum as you never have before - empty of children and full of style.
Partnering with The Sapphire Theatre Company, the world’s biggest and best children’s museum transforms into Indy’s finest five-story, play-friendly cocktail lounge for one night only, Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.
“The Children’s Museum really is an exciting place for people of all ages to visit. This is a wonderful date night opportunity and a unique way to explore your inner child in a fun way after dark in which adults get the chance to step to the front of the line,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
The attire is casual-chic. Dress comfortably so that you can play and dance, but points will be awarded for style! Indy’s newest professional sports team and the city’s premier organizer of adult sports leagues are joining forces to provide a spectacular sports experience. Mini golf, corn hole, soccer skill drills and GOOOOOOOAAAALs! Guests can get their groove on in Club Aquarium with DJ Brian Whitis, or visit the Audio Playground in Lilly Theater with Wendell Patrick, a Peabody-trained classical pianist with a passion for fusing jazz, hip-hop, and digital texturing.
Bone-shaking beats will rock among the dinosaurs in Paleolithic Percussion with D. Marquis.
Anyone looking to have an exciting evening with friends or loved ones can ride on the Carousel, journey through the cosmos in the Planetarium or enjoy samples of Indy’s best bites and brews. Speaking of brews, Sun King Brewery will be selling signature beers and hosting a ‘Science of Beer’ lab. Indiana favorites, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Fuzzy Vodka and Easley Winery, will also offer a variety of delicious drinks. Attendees must be big kids over 21 years old with photo ID at the door.

Comedian and host Zan Aufderheide candidly captures the ADULT SWIM event for our YouTube viewing audience. Proceeds from the event will fund innovative arts and educational programs that serve children and schools across Indiana.
