Grown-ups Make a Splash at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

Get ready to plunge in to the fun at Adult Swim – a night of play for your inner child at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. There will not be an actual pool – it is merely a play on words for a fun and funky night for grown-ups only.

The world’s largest children’s museum is partnering with The Sapphire Theatre Company to host a big bash in which the museum will be transformed into an impressive five-story, casual-chic cocktail lounge on Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 8:00 p.m. – midnight.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to explore your inner child in a fun and unique way after dark,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “Anyone looking to have a wonderful evening with their significant other is sure to enjoy a twilight Carousel ride, a journey through the Cosmos in the Planetarium and dancing to some of the hottest music in Club Dinosphere.”

There will be live DJs mixing music in a lively atmosphere throughout the museum. Attendees will be invited to sample tasty treats from Indy’s favorite restaurants, enjoy adult beverages and learn about the Science of Beer with Sun King Brewing Company. There will also be games, activities, live performances, and immersive spaces that will transport you into the extraordinary.

See the life-size custom-built vehicles in Hot Wheels for Real, drum and dance in Take Me There: Egypt!, and visit the superheroes of the lizard world in Geckos!

Tickets are $55 per person in advance and $65 per person after February 15. Tickets purchased online will also have a small processing fee. Proceeds from the event will fund innovative arts and educational programs that serve children and schools across Indiana. For more information, visit www.adultswimindy.com.
