New Online Store Makes Shopping at World’s Largest Children’s Museum Easier!

Whether or not they’ve been naughty or nice, shopping for everyone on your list just got easier! The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis Museum Store is launching a brand new online store, in partnership with Maingate, Inc., the premier event retail and merchandising company in the country. The new site will go live Friday, November 9 at 4:00 p.m. and will enable shoppers to purchase items according to age or specific interests.

“We are committed to providing extraordinary learning experiences throughout the museum and it is important to us that those educational opportunities continue for families at home,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “That is why we make a concerted effort to offer options that ignite imaginations and provide family learning experiences across the arts, sciences and humanities.”

The new store website will serve as a showcase of toys, games and puzzles that are reflective of family learning exhibits that can be explored in the museum as well as interactive options that will serve up fun learning opportunities for the whole family at home.

Visitors to the new site will see more than 400 specialty toys for kids of all ages and unique gifts for adults. They will each be categorized and organized in a one-stop location, making shopping convenient and easy for busy parents and grandparents from the comfort of their homes. For example, shoppers can specifically search for everything from dinosaur toys to microscopes to blown glass art with a simple click. All they have to do is choose the age and special interest of the person they are buying for, and options will appear in an easy to use format.

“We are absolutely thrilled to enter into this partnership with The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis,” said David Moroknek, president and CEO of MainGate. “We will provide a turn-key e-commerce solution that will allow the Children’s Museum to accomplish their goal of growing this area of business. We look forward to upholding their prestigious brand image to their patrons through excellent customer service, marketing and online business management.”
