Blog Ambassadors get a Hole in One

Throughout the year we'll hear from eight bloggers as they share about their family's time in the brand-new Riley Children's Health Sports Legends Experience® and how it inspires them to explore these sports back at home.

Last week when we visited the Riley Children's Health Sports Legends Experience®, we spent most of our time hanging out at the Pete and Alice Dye Golf Experience! If you didn’t already know, Cash, my five-year-old, is our little golfer! He’s been golfing since he could walk! It’s really all he cares about, besides his new obsession with monster trucks…

We took the time to work on his putting accuracy while at the museum, because Cash was gearing up for his very first golf tournament that weekend, so why not get some extra practice in, right?!

Cash was able to put his practice to work last Saturday, and he did SO well!! He finished in second place, and just one stroke from tying first place! Putting is something that he is really working on, and he knows that being more accurate with his putts could’ve made up for that one stroke to get him that first place medal! So we will definitely make sure we hit up the golf experience next time too!

The morning of Cash’s tournament, he asked me, “What if I’m not good, mom?” I quickly reminded him of our trips to the museum, and how the most important part of playing sports is having FUN! So I told him, “Just go out there and do your best, and THAT will be good enough!” And thats exactly what he did, he had FUN!
