A Transformers Toy Designer's Inspiration | Sean's Story

This guest blog post was written by Sean Carmine Isabella, a TRANSFORMERS Senior Product Designer at Hasbro, or as he calls himself, "your friendly Cybertronian Designer."

What inspired me to become a Toy Designer was a sense of adventure. I was always exploring the world around me—whether it was defeating a big boss in a video game, getting dirty in a mud puddle, watching an epic battle of good vs. evil on the big screen, or imagining my own stories of adventure and excitement in the backyard with my toys the center of attention.

Toys have always been the key to unlocking my imagination and the opportunity to design toys for today’s kids is a dream come true. The true cherry on top of the ice cream sundae for being a toy designer is building and imagining TRANSFORMERS toys. What's cooler than a sweet spaceship that converts into an awesome big robot?

The magic of TRANSFORMERS toys is that anything in the world around us could be a TRANSFORMERS robot, it just requires a little imagination. I love that every day I get to wake up and work on building the next great TRANSFORMERS toy. I hope kids from around the world can imagine their own epic adventures with these new toys that I’m so lucky to be a part of creating.
