Transformers®

I was born in 1983, so I've had the chance to grow up with Transformers. I was introduced to them when I was two and I've remained a fan throughout each new incarnation over the past almost 30 years. Now I have children of my own and I am able to share the excitement with them. Transformers combines fantastic toys, memorable characters, and fantastic story telling into one excellent childhood (and beyond) experience.

It is a two fold story. When I was young we played with them all the time sometimes even dropping the toys and acting like we had become the toys. Now 30 years later my young son plays with them nonstop and also does the same things I used to do. There are not many toys which have lasted 30 years. Man, I feel old now.

I remember watching Transformers when I was little, and playing with the toys at my cousin's house, as we didn't have any ourselves. Last Easter, we rescued my husband's old transformers from his mum's attic. We've given them a good clean, and can't wait until our son is old enough to surprise him with them!

When you think of kids toys in the 80s, the Transformers have got to be in your top 5. They were so cool my little sisters wanted them. Between my brother and I, we probably have about 50 of these guys. The movie Toy Story made me feel bad for my old Transformer friends, so I went to my parents house, rummaged through the attic, and gave all my old Transformer toys to my 2 boys. It's an absolute joy watching my boys play with my old toys.

Transformers were and still are some of the best toys out there. I grew up with this one and still have almost 100 of the original G1 series. Now I use them as decorations in my office and everyone that remembers them from their childhood stops and takes a look.
