Wyoming Dinosaur Dig

• Meet the team of museum paleontologists
• Receive instructions on how to search for and identify fossils
• Learn about the tools used to excavate fossils
• Dig for dinosaur fossils
• Experience a once-in-a-lifetime adventure

You must be able to do the following:

• Walk moderate distances over uneven and rocky ground
• Sit or kneel for long periods of time
• Tolerate high temperatures and direct sunlight
• Ages 8 and up—no exceptions
• Youth must be accompanied by a registered adult

Specific fee information for the 2027 trip will be available in October 2026.

Fees include:

• Ground transportation from Lovell, Wyoming, to the site and back
• Breakfast and lunch on dig days
• All supplies needed to dig

Fees do NOT include:

• Travel to and from Wyoming
• Lodging - Travelodge Inn in Lovell, Wyoming is recommended
• Meals other than breakfast and lunch on your dig days

Dates for 2027 will be available in October 2026.

Itinerary:
7:45 a.m. – Trip departs from the Travelodge Inn in Lovell, WY
4 p.m. – Trip returns to the Travelodge Inn in Lovell, WY

Digging at the site is weather dependent. If a dig day is cancelled due to weather conditions, refunds will not be given. Daily itinerary may be different and alternative programming will be provided.
