Sensory Stories

If you are visiting The Children’s Museum and have a child with ASD or sensory issues, the museum would like to help prepare your child ahead of time for some of the sights and sounds you will experience.

Below are photos of some of the areas that your child may find appealing and some of the areas that may be over-stimulating or anxiety-producing. You may want to read these pages with your child one or more times prior to your visit. Next to each page you’ll also find tips for each area that you may want to consider when planning your visit.

If you need a quiet space at any time during your visit, you may contact a security staff member or the concierge.
