Stories from Our Community Opening Day Celebration

Museum-wide Opening Day activities will end at 3 p.m.

Meet Visiting Artist Deonna Craig and some of the other artists a part of the 18artcollective as they share their artwork and stories about how they created the Black Lives Matter street mural on Indiana Avenue in downtown Indianapolis.

  • Add your creativity to our giant outdoor #blacklivesmatter chalk mural. 
  • Discover how to use your Words, Actions, Voice, and Education to make a change in the Making WAVES—Social Justice in Action program
  • Create a work of art based on inspiration within Playscape by Experiencing Art Together
  • Become the art critic as you take a closer look at art in the Tag it! Exploring Art Together program in the National Art Museum of Sport
  • Community Partners will be onsite sharing resources and information

The Visiting Artist Program is a project of the Lechleiter Indiana Visiting Artist Fund with support provided by The White Oak Foundation, Sarah and John Lechleiter.
