Snow Day Fun: Snow Spray Paint

Turn your snow pile into an artistic masterpiece, with your own snow spray paint. 

Supplies

Here's what you'll need to make one cup of paint:

• 1 Cup of water
• 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch
• Food coloring
• Jar or bowl
• Spray or squirt bottle

Directions

1. Pour water into a small jar or bowl, and add several drops of food coloring.  
2. Add the cornstarch and stir the mixture. 
3. Put the cornstarch and water mixture into a spray or squirt bottle.  
4. Head outside, and decorate the snow!

Add a bit of science 

After painting the now outside, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then see if there are any changes in the snow. With gloves or mittens on your hands, pick up the painted snow and make observations!
