The Children’s Museum and Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience® will be temporarily closed Sept. 14–25, 2026, for essential updates to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. During this time, the entire campus will be closed to guests and staff. When we welcome you back on Sept. 26, you’ll notice improvements related to lighting, accessibility, and overall comfort. This work is part of our long-term plan to update museum infrastructure.
We will close again for additional facility remediation work Jan. 11–15, 2027, and select dates in Sept. 2027 and Jan. 2028.

The Children’s Museum and Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience® will close Sept. 14–25, 2026, for large-scale maintenance work that includes critical updates to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. During this time, the entire campus will be closed to guests and staff. We’re excited to welcome back families on Sept. 26 with improvements to lighting, accessibility, and overall comfort—and for the opening of the newly reimagined All Aboard! This work is part of our long-term plan to update museum infrastructure.
Another closure is scheduled for Jan. 11–15, 2027 and select dates in September 2027 and January 2028 to continue to care for the museum.
