Playscape® is where young children learn through the method that is most successful for them—play!

Preschool and PreK school groups are invited to add a visit to Playscape® to their field trip (at no additional cost). From the Creek to the Sandbox to the Art and Music Studios, your students, chaperones, and teachers can learn and play together through fun, hands-on opportunities.

Playscape®: Self-guided Visit
Dec. 2026–May 2027 | Preschool and PreK field trip groups can enjoy self-guided play in the Playscape® gallery between 9:45 a.m.–11 a.m. Show your field trip stickers with the Playscape® logo at the greeter cart to enter. Elementary special education teachers are also welcome to request Playscape® when developmentally appropriate for their students.

Playscape®: Making Music Together
Jan.–May 2027 | This program is a guided experience in the Playscape® Music Studio. A facilitator will lead students in musical activities using instruments, their voices, and bodies that incorporate tune, beat, and movement: three key areas of musical development for young children. (20 minutes)

When you add the Riley Children's Health Sports Legends Experience® to your field trip, your students get access to 7.5 acres of sports for all ages and abilities. Choose self-guided exploration, or schedule a program with our coaches.
