Dale Chihuly is a world-renowned glass sculptor who created the permanent artwork Fireworks of Glass that rises through the core of the museum. CAPCOM Go! The Apollo Story
On July 20th 1969, 600 million people around the world gathered to witness a historic moment of human achievement broadcast live from the Moon. These Apollo 11 astronauts were just 2 of nearly 400,000 people who had worked over ten years towards this goal. What did it take to put humans on the Moon? This program takes places in the Space Object Theater. (30 minutes)

Experience a recorded actor performance to discover how one inspiring child served as an example of overcoming discrimination and intolerance and made a positive difference in the world today. Performance will be followed by a brief post-show discussion with museum staff to discuss ways in which we can continue to combat discrimination and intolerance and make a difference in the world today.
