Indiana Pacers and Fever Basketball Experience

  • Shoot and score before time’s up
Challenge yourself by taking aim at a hoop in different ways from different positions...all before time runs out.
COVID-19 Safety Exhibit Updates:
To facilitate social distancing, the capacity of the outdoor portion of the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience® has been reduced, as has the capacity of each sports experience within it. Almost all experiences are open. Touchable elements are sanitized by staff frequently, and sanitizing wipes are provided for your use to sanitize sports equipment before and after use. Please be aware of the following changes and comply with these guidelines for your health and safety:
  • Visitors should only play and share equipment with their own household group (for example, do not share footballs or tennis balls).
  • Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience® Coaches will show proper use of sporting equipment but will not hand equipment to visitors.
  • Visitors should wipe down all provided equipment before and after use except for Racing and Golf equipment, which will be sanitized by staff.

All Children's Museum exhibits will have capacity limits. Museum staff will monitor occupancy and if capacity is reached, staff will admit visitors to the exhibit when others leave.

The Indiana Pacers and Fever Basketball Experience will be closed for 30 minute cleaning at noon and 3:30 p.m. daily. Cleaning times are subject to change.

Indiana’s rich basketball history lets you play a part as an Indiana Pacers or Indiana Fever player! Get off the bench and grab a ball to learn moves like Tamika Catchings and Reggie Miller with a few fundamentals:

  • Take to the court to practice your Larry Bird free throws at a high or low hoop
  • Perfect your pass at different speeds and angles to Pacers/Fever player targets
  • Challenge the whole family, or beat your personal best, at a shot-clock hoop

Riley Health PROtip: Trying new activities makes you gain strength by working muscles that you don’t always use.

Outdoor areas are weather dependent.

All equipment provided by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
