October is frightfully full of events at The Children's Museum! Join us for the city’s biggest and best family-friendly Halloween party, frightfully fun sports in the Riley Children's Health Sports Legends Experience®, or a boo-fet with our friendly witches!
Join other monsters and villains in training at this fabled institution where potions, charms, shadow shifting, spellcasting, and other eerie subjects make up your course load. But be warned: The library is definitely haunted. You’ll lose your appetite once you see the ghastly cafeteria meals. Turn down the wrong hallway and you could end up ensnared in a spider’s web. And being included in the school’s Hall of Fame is anything but an honor. At Fright Academy, every day feels like detention day. So come join the Class of 2026—if you dare.

Visitors with disabilities and/or sensory sensitivities can experience the Haunted House with some sensory modifications. Guests will experience all the fun and magic of the Fright Academy but “classes” will have softened music, lighting turned up with no flashing lights, and all haunters in friendly costumes. Guests receive one trip through the house and a goody bag. Other museum exhibits, including Dinosphere®, will also be open.
