Each year, the museum recruits exceptional artists with Indiana ties to publicly present and teach their work
through the Visiting Artist Program. The artists interact and inspire children and families with art exhibits, displays, and hands-on workshops.
Don't miss the opportunity to spark your creativity and explore art with these passionate experts.

Johnson Simon
Johnson is a painter who captures movement in his colorful works of art. He was born with a disability that limits his movement, but he has always been fascinated by motion. He uses art as his movement.
Johnson's paintings are inspired by sports, dance, and activities like running. When he paints, he imagines stopping time to capture a single moment. He puts the energy and movement from that moment into his artwork.
