Before the doors opened for The Main Event of the Second Century Soiree, we hosted a special VIP reception honoring the leaders, pioneers, and supporters who helped set the stage for this once-in-a-century celebration.

The dinner's program included remarks from our Board Chair Ezra Burdix, National Animation Museum Founder and CEO Eddie Newquist, Civil Rights icon Ruby Bridges, and our President and CEO Jennifer Pace Robinson.

Opening Reception
The Main Event began with death-defying aerialists, chef-curated gourmet bites, specialty cocktails, and a celebratory atmosphere to set the stage for the night to come.
The Power of Children® Discussion Panel
Civil Rights Movement icon Ruby Bridges, AIDS and anti-bullying activists Jeanne White Ginder and Andrea White, and Anne Frank Executive Director Doyle Stevick shared how children can continue to change the world.
Threads of Peru Fashion Show
Local contemporary wearable artist Monique Burts staged a runway celebration of Peruvian design.

NASA astronaut Dr. Kjell Lindgren—veteran of 311 days in orbit aboard the International Space Station—shared stories about the daring, wonder, and science of spaceflight.

High-energy cultural performances from China and Peru celebrated the countries featured in past and present Take Me There® exhibits.
A Dazzling Finale
The evening capped off with a parade led by our beloved mascot, Rex, and his local sports mascot pals followed by a breathtaking drone show.
