Whimsical Winter Play: An Early Childhood Experience

Embrace the magic of the season with your young children! Join us for a delightful morning with early access to WinterSlide and WinterFaire, then explore winter-themed activities designed specifically for you and your children 5 and under. Skip the crowds, not the fun, as you make memories with your young family. 

Enjoy exclusive early access to the museum’s most festive attractions—before we open to the public! 

• Glide down the WinterSlide, our giant indoor snow slide experience. 
• Explore the enchanting sights and sounds of our WinterFaire exhibit. 
• Make magical discoveries as you scoop, dig, and play in a snow filled sensory table. 
• Build glaciers and forts for arctic animals using BIG blue blocks.   
• Take an instant picture and decorate a winter sun catcher to keep as a whimsical memory.  
• Get groovy at our bubble dance party to end the event.

• This program is designed for children ages 5 and under; therefore, every child participating must be registered no matter their age.   

• This event does not include nonmember museum admission. If you have purchased tickets to the museum or have a membership, you are welcome to stay in the museum after the events ends at 9:30 a.m. Please note the entire museum will be open beginning at 9:30 for school groups and event participants with museum tickets. The Carousel will open at 10 a.m. The WinterSlide will close at 9:30 a.m. and reopen at 10 a.m.
