Over 60 years of FRIGHT!

The first Haunted House—an idea proposed by Guild member Dessie Partenheimer—opened in 1964. With 26,000 visitors over 10 days, it raised $13,200 for the museum.

The Haunted House has welcomed over 3.3 million visitors and the Guild has donated more than $17 million to the museum, including over $3 million the past six years! Through the Haunted House and other efforts, Guild members collectively contribute more than 36,000 volunteer hours each year and have assisted in nearly every area of the museum’s growth and development.
