5 Things to Check Out This November with Your Access Pass

This month is all about thankfulness and we’re so grateful for all of our amazing Access Pass attractions and the incredible programming they offer. Don’t miss these six great exhibits and events happening now.

1.) Mini Masterpieces at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
The Mini Masterpieces exhibit at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis recently got a major makeover! The updated exhibit includes more immersive displays and new interactives. The centerpiece of the new space will be the Chateau Beaumont miniature house, a gift from Wanda Fortune.

2.) Powerful Women at Eiteljorg
Highlighting the work of contemporary women artists, especially Native artists, Powerful Women at the Eiteljorg is now open for its first rotation and will run through April 4, 2021. The exhibition highlights and celebrates women artists in contemporary art. The first half will focus on Native women contemporary artists, and the second half will include non-Native and diverse women contemporary artists. Please Touch! Sculptures by Michael Naranjo will also remain open through Feb. 9, 2021 for visitors to enjoy experiencing these incredible art pieces through multiple senses. Visitors are given disposable gloves to touch the pieces and disposable earbuds that they can use to listen to the audio in the exhibition. Noise-cancelling headphones are also available to borrow for those with sensory sensitivities.

3.) You Are There 1920: Celebrate Indianapolis at the Indiana Historical Society
In honor of the city’s 200th birthday in 2020, the Indiana Historical Society recently opened You Are There 1920: Celebrate Indianapolis. The exhibit takes you back to Indianapolis’ 100th birthday celebration and is based on an actual pageant script housed in the Indiana Historical Society’s William H. Smith Memorial Library archives. While there, you’ll explore topics about the history of the city including first pioneers, city development and expansion, technological progress, racial issues, and more.
