Bunnysaurus Rex Egg Hunt 

A Dinosaur Egg Hunt of Prehistoric Proportions! 

March 28 or March 29 | 8:30–10 a.m. | Ticket Required 

Meet Bunnysaurus Rex, discover dino-bunny activities, and explore select galleries before finding the hidden eggs in Dinosphere® or Monsters of the Mesozoic ® and National Geographic Treasures of the Earth ®. Choose the right egg hunt path for your family with our two trackways: the T. rex Toddler Trail or the faster moving Raptor Route.  

• Find hidden eggs with prizes in either Dinosphere® or Monsters of the Mesozoic Seas® and National Geographic Treasures of the Earth®. More egg hunt details below! 

• Enjoy exclusive access to two new museum exhibits, Tiana’s Joyful Celebration® and PAW Patrol: Adventure Play®

• Explore the Dino Art Lab and American POP!® exhibits 

• Take a spring photo with Bunnysaurus Rex 

• Craft bunny ears and a dino tail to wear 

• Decorate your egg collecting bag (provided) 

• Put together a giant 3D dino puzzle 

• Hop, swerve, and duck your way through a dino obstacle course 

During our event, two egg hunts will take place. At check-in, you will be given the time of your egg hunt. Each egg hunt has two paths to choose from: 

Egg Hunt Paths: 

• Raptor Route: For ages 4 and up. This egg hunt takes place in Monsters of the Mesozoic Seas® and National Geographic Treasures of the Earth® exhibits. This is a faster paced route with small, more hidden eggs and age-appropriate prizes.  

• T.rex Toddler Trail: For ages 0-3. This egg hunt takes place in Dinosphere®. This path is slower paced with big eggs and toddler specific prizes.  

If you have children in multiple age groups, you can split up between the paths or do the paths one at a time. 

Details: 

• Each youth can find up to 10 eggs.  

• You must use the egg bag provided at the event. 

• All youth participating in the egg hunt must be registered.  
• An eggshell recycling station will be at the end of the egg hunt so you can keep your prizes and recycle the eggshells! 

• Egg hunt prizes do not have candy or food inside. Prize examples include little figurines, small fossils and rocks, squishy animals, sensory poppers, and fidget toys.

• Be sure to select the correct date when registering. Bunnysaurus Rex Egg Hunt takes place on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29. 

• Every person attending must register for the event. 

• This event does not include nonmember museum admission. If you have purchased tickets to the museum or have a membership, you are welcome to stay in the museum after the events end at 10 a.m.
